My birthday was always in the school holidays and I loved it because I never had to feel the pressure of bringing cakes or cupcakes to school for all the other children and I could wake up late and do whatever I wanted that day. What we usually did was go camping. I loved it because nature is just so calming and regenerating for the soul. In the evenings we would light a fire for warmth and cooking and of course the best part........ roasting marshmallows. Up until today this is the only way I can eat them. This scent reminds me of the sweet taste and smoky smell that you get from sitting around the fire toasting marshmallows and sharing laughs.
